Last week, a poem at the end of a yoga session was Last week, a poem at the end of a yoga session was meant to bring peace. Instead, it got me thinking—hard.

The themes of resting, scoping responsibility, overwhelm, and focus have been a hot topic of discussion recently - with friends, myself (love this), and in a healing last week.

“By loving myself and taking time to rest I contribute positively to the world”
Is the goal for 2025 that I set.

For context: I’m on a 3.5-month workation in Latin America—working mornings, exploring afternoons & weekends. I just started a new 16h/week project, alongside freelancing and business mentorship.

And while digital nomadism isn’t new to me, a few crucial factors have changed: time difference is now not in my favour (when I start at 6am, I am already 3 hours behind), I have a real home base with boyfriend + house, and I am doing 3 countries with several destinations, instead of the usual temporary home base (moving every week or less, instead of every 2 months)

This was supposed to be a time of doing less. Instead, I’ve never been busier.

And truthfully? I love everything I do—work, projects, adventure, sports, social life, creative pursuits. I thrive on productivity and being praised for it.

But…

I feel rushed. There’s no room for error.

A bad night’s sleep or getting sick? My ambitious to-do list suffers, and I feel awful.

💭 What if I could feel the same joy… while doing half the activities?
💭 What if I embraced routine instead of chasing constant newness?
💭 What if I let things happen, instead of planning every moment?

For the next months, my focus is clear:
✨ Doing less.
✨ Letting things unfold.
✨ Prioritising what truly matters.
✨ Resting—whatever that means for me.
✨ Simply being a human.

Who’s with me?
It took me a close to burnout to realise: I am on It took me a close to burnout to realise:

I am only responsible for me and what I can do.

Of course I care a looooottt about the planet and my loved ones, as well as about people and animals in general. Don’t get me wrong. But recently, it felt like such a heavy weight to carry.

Why wasn’t everyone playing their part in making this a peaceful and green planet? Getting the most out of their life, so they can serve people, animals, and generally the planet?

It made me upset, to worry about things that were not in my power at all. My good intentions and motivation started to be replaced by sourness and anger. I became more and more judgemental and mostly sad.

Today, I have decided to make a switch.

While I still passionately help others and take a leader role everywhere I go, I will no longer feel responsible for other peoples actions, how they behave, what they do and not do.

The last thing this planet needs is for passionate people with good intentions get a burnout or lose their faith. So I take my responsibility here to set my boundaries.

Because there is a lot to work on, that is actually right within my responsibility. I am also not perfect at all in a sustainable and socially responsible way.

Time to focus on that!
🌱 I think Boldwill (new name for “Iron Roots”) is gonna conquer the world of (sustainable) sports wear - and they’re well on their way to do so.

Did you know they’ll be the first company IN THE WORLD to produce socks without any plastic? 😱🧦 In the world!!! I’ve seen and felt them and I can tell you: we are in for a treat!

Active wear that’s good for humans and the planet is useful in SO many ways, I think it’s an essential. 🤾🏽‍♀️ I wear it on my hikes here in Peru 🇵🇪, but also just during city tours, or whenever I am on a long bus ride. Back home, it’s my go to outfit for all the Urban sports Club workouts I do - Pilates, yoga, boxing, etc. 🤸🏽‍♀️

Some reasons why I just love this brand:

💚 It’s a The Hague based brand, runned by two super passionate entrepreneurs that are intrinsically motivated to make this world a better place

💚 I’ve been wearing their clothes for years and they’re still in perfect shape

💚 They approach sustainability holistic. So not just staying away from plastic as much as possible, but creating timeless pieces that are easy to combine, so you won’t need as many

💚 They spend a lottttt of time developing their products and launch slowly. Quality not quantity

💚 When they had legal issues with their old name, they decided to take the opportunity to innovate the brand as a whole, instead of giving up

💚 There’s so much attention to detail, for example, they’re using a little custom developed nature inspired scent on the clothes when they ship them

💚 Last but not least: The clothes are just so comfy and high quality

So don’t waste any time and go order yours with NINAROSA10 💕

⚠️ The Ninarosaqua shop is closed. Because o ⚠️ The Ninarosaqua shop is closed.

Because of my current travels in Latin America, as well as reshaping the brand, I have closed the webshop of Ninarosaqua. You can still order the post cards and some posters via [www.ninarosaqua.com/shop-new](http://www.ninarosaqua.com/shop-new) (also listed in the main navigation).

…which brings me to another key point: 👀 being clear about the purpose of this page. What to expect or to do?

⚡️ Keep following this account to discover valuable lessons I learnt about entrepreneurship, branding, creativity, and following your passions
🔥 Expect relevant and interesting events to be featured in my stories and on my profile

💌 There’s a few posters and post cards left, DM me if interested

What’s not changing?

🎨 Drawings, murals, and custom illustrations are still available. Made to order or ready to barter, baby!
📸 I will still model for brands I support

Now that summer is coming to an end, there’s no time to do surf sessions after a full coworking day. So the last cowork surf days of the year have passed and we will resume them in May 2025, but we’re not done with coworking days! Here’s some awesome events planned:

🌱 On 20th September, in collaboration with Qlub Rotterdam, we’re hosting a coworking day with the theme of World Cleanup Day. Expect an informal session on sustainability during lunch, followed by an afternoon of cleaning up the beach (from 4.30pm) while enjoying the sunshine and getting fit, and we’ll finish off with a delightful drink!

🎉 On 17th October, we’re joining forces with the awesome community The Hague Creators and the creative venue The Social Hub. We’ll be hosting a workshop during the day (something with ‘fuck ups’!) and ending the day with an awesome party. Definitely one not to miss!

🖼️ In November, we will prepare for 2025 by creating a mind map - of course accompanied by good convos, beverages, snacks, and creativity!

✨ And the last one of 2024 will be on December 20th. We’ll reflect on 2024 and set goals for 2025, with intentions!

In 2025, we have some great stuff in mind related to creativity, networking, foods, drinks, and of course surfing! So stay tuned!

DM me if you want to receive the sign up links! Freelancers that aren’t member of Qommunity are allowed to join 2 coworking days before a membership is needed. You’ll receive a discount code for a free trial month as well when you attend! 💌

Throwback to this bucket list trip, the kite safar Throwback to this bucket list trip, the kite safari in June! 🪁🐆🏝️

Egypt had been on our list for foreeeverrrr, especially for kiting but also for the food, but I never really felt safe enough to actually visit. So we took the lazy road and booked a trip with @toowettoshred. Honestly the most luxury yacht I’d ever set foot on! 🛥️

There’s still some spots for Sept 28-Oct 5th for a sweeeeet price if you wanna join! All’s included, from backroll clinics (and yes they work, I can finally do back rolls!) to vegan foods, partyyy, daily yoga, and a safety boat (very very handy). Just message Margot. 💌

And now: preparing for the Bretagne surf trip with the girls! 🌊
